| Let's make a comparison. H2O can appear in three forms; it can appear as a solid, a liquid or a vapor. | |||

| For simplicity, we'll just use ice and vapor. Ice and water vapor are two forms of the same thing. When we take either apart, we find H2O. | |||
| The causal link, the Nexus between ice and water vapor is temperature. Ice can't become water vapor all by itself. It has to be acted upon by an outside force in order to change; the temperature has to rise. | |||
