Bundled Waves of Sound |
| Each listener is hearing the same energy sounds. | ||
| At any given moment, every instrument is producing a unique sound wave. But the listeners are not aware of all the individual instruments. Although we 'hear' all the instruments, we can 'pay attention to' or concentrate on only 5 to 9 individual instruments at any given time. | ||
| The sounds from each individual instrument are combined together into a 'bundle of sound' called a composite wave as they leave the orchestra. This composite wave travels to the listening audience. | ||
Each listener's ears are receiving the same composite waves containing all the instruments. |
Is each listener having the same musical experience? |
