We have learned that all is Spirit, even our physical reality, and that Spirit is
forever. Again, Energy and Spirit are synonymous terms – they mean the same thing. We
know that before our physical reality began, Spirit from our perspective or Energy, from a
scientific perspective, existed. We have also learned that we are Spirit. Our physical
body is a physical thing and all physical things have their foundation in Spirit. So,
before our physical reality began, we are.
How, then, did physical reality begin?
Scientists have a number of theories, one of which is that the physical world appeared
‘spontaneously’ out of ‘energy. It just happened. The Big Bang. No reason
– it just happened.
Most religion teaches that God created it in the ‘beginning.’ No reason given
because God does not need a reason, but at that ‘time,’ it was perfect. Perfect
implies changeless.
Believing either of these takes a lot of faith. To believe, we must set aside logic and
careful consideration of other possibilities and just accept an explanation. But God has
given us the ability to question, to learn and to grow. God wants us to understand our
universe and our place in it. What God would give the eagle wings and tell him not to fly?
Rather than discuss theories, let’s talk about what we do know.
Scientists have discovered that an individual’s expectations about the outcome of
an experiment actually have an effect on the outcome of the experiment. When scientists
get together and agree on what they want the outcome to be, there is a tendency for the
experiment to produce the desired results. This does not often happen at the atomic level
of our reality. When we mix to chemicals, the outcome is always the same. But at the
subatomic level where the outcome is more flexible, the results of an experiment often
meet the expectations of the observers. Scientists call this phenomenon ‘the observer
effect.’ Simply put, it means that we are influencing our reality by our expectations
and that we tend to get the results we believe in. Scientific fact!
Scientists also know that as soon as a ‘discovery’ is made or an
‘experiment’ successfully conducted that the same ‘discovery’ becomes
easier for others and that the same experiment produces more successful results. This
happens in direct proportion to the number of individuals involved in the experiment. In
other words, once something is ‘proven’ to be a possibility, the expected
results of an experiment happen easier and more often. They call this phenomenon
‘morphic resonance.’ Scientific fact!
We also know that when a group of individuals begin to believe that something is
happening to them, it has a tendency to happen to all of them. When a group of people
believe that they have been ‘infected’ by an unknown disease, the majority of
them begin to show common symptoms and may become physically ill. This is especially true
if fear is involved, but it is not limited to fear. A group of people can begin to believe
that even if they drink poison, they will not be effected. If the belief is strong enough
and the expectations are without question among this group, they can indeed drink poison
and not be effected. The mind has a tremendous amount of control over the human body. The
cases taking place with small groups of people is well documented. Scientists call this
phenomenon ‘mass hysteria’ and label it a ‘mental disorder.’
Scientists have no logical explanation for either of these phenomena. They only know
that they happen, and they happen often enough to get scientific names.
We could go on to discuss other exceptions to our physical laws. We could talk about
instantaneous displacement (the quantum leap), levitation, existence without nourishment,
telepathy, telekinetic ability, precognition, remote viewing and so on. But it may be best
to stick to the phenomena that scientists have given names and have accepted as fact. Now,
I have a question.
We know that a group of individuals can agree to conduct a scientific experiment to
discover something that they believe is possible but has never been done before. The more
they believe in their experiment, the easier it becomes to ‘prove’ that they are
right.
We also know that another group of individuals can agree to drink poison without being
effected. This is something that they believe is possible but is not supported by the
‘laws’ of physics. The more they believe in what they are doing, the easier it
becomes to ‘prove’ they are right.
My question is: Is this the observer effect and morphic resonance in one instance and
mass hysteria and a mental disorder in another? Or, are they both the same phenomenon and
just have different labels?
We tend to label things according to our belief system, according to our paradigm. When
a believer is critically ill and fellow believers pray for a miracle, a healing may take
place. Very often the believers will assign the label ‘Diving Healing’ and the
Doctors assign the label ‘Spontaneous Remission,’ each choosing a term they are
comfortable with, yet each describing the same thing.
If we are going to make a careful, thoughtful evaluation of our reality, we must
realize that we are effecting it by our beliefs and expectations. Yes, our beliefs and
expectations. We must remove the labels and look at the facts.
I have another question. These things can happen, do happen with small groups of
entities that come together in agreement. If we actually effect our physical world by the
way we believe and the things we expect, is it a stretch to understand that our entire
physical world is the product of the agreement of many?
There are currently around six billion entities in the physical layer of consensus
reality right now. This does not include the host of entities in the remaining six
transpersonal layers. All of us are involved in this movie of consensus reality. We, here
in the first transpersonal layer are just the tip of the iceberg. We are all in agreement
concerning the ‘laws of physics’ under which we enjoy our reality. If even half
of us were focused on the prophecies of doom and destruction; if we believed in them and
accepted them, would it make a difference?
It is very obvious that we, the participants and observers have the ability to decide
our own destiny. According to one belief system, mankind was directed to ‘Go forth
and have Dominion’ over creation. In that belief system, it is found that mankind was
often informed, ‘Because you have done this, this is what will happen.’ But it
is not found where mankind was told that they no longer had dominion.
Our world is not changing in response to some external force or overall plan that calls
for things to progress a certain way. The Diving Plan of God is Benevolence. That plan
dictates that no matter what happens, we will grow and evolve. The Love of God is seen in
Benevolence.
We are given the ability to change our world according to our beliefs and expectations.
What is happening now is happening in response to our beliefs and expectations. What
happens in the future will happen in response to our beliefs and expectations. The Divine
Plan is, we will eventually learn this lesson. We are eternal Spirit. We live forever.
There is one more characteristic of Energy, of Spirit that you must know. Spirit is
interconnected and non-local. Spirit has no ‘location’ or ‘time.’ All
Spirit is One Spirit.
All that is, is of The One.
We are Eternal Spirit and we are of The One.
We cannot ‘not participate’ in our future. Where our attention and
expectations are now, our future will be.
Now, do all the prophecies of doom and destruction deserve our attention? The potential
exists, but ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
If we are to live up to our God potential, we must Go Forth and Have Dominion.
