The World of our Dreams

Many of you have asked questions about our reality that fall into the category of The World of Our Dreams. You ask questions such as: Where is the world going? How can we make the world a better place? When will we evolve to the point of total peace and harmony? Why do I feel like there is still something else for me to do?

Here in consensus reality, we live with the concept of time. In order to experience time, we must have a place to come from and a place to go. Direction and evolution are an integral part of this illusion. These concepts are alive in our paradigm and continually influence our perception. This is what the Masters call the illusion of separation.

Within this concept of time, our world appears to be evolving. We evaluate where we have been and where we are going and ask: Is it getting better or worse? A basic question about the nature of reality is: Can the Earth and its inhabitants experience total Love, peace and harmony?

This question has to be put into perspective. What does total peace and harmony mean to us? Does it mean that there is no longer the struggle of life and death? Does it mean that apparent conflict between good and bad is no longer evident and only the good remains?

What would the Earth look like under these conditions? Nothing would die. Without death, nothing could live. It is this cycle with its apparent struggle that is the foundation of our consensus reality.  It is not the place in the cycle that is important; it is the cycle itself. It is not as important to find what we feel is a good position in the cycle as it is to understand that the cycle is an integral part of the whole. This fact is evident in every aspect of our reality. Everywhere we look, there is the apparent struggle for permanence. From the tiny atom to the giant mountains, continual change is evident. From the single celled organisms to the most advanced life forms, the evidence of continual transition is present.

From our perspective within this cycle, we are able to participate in this reality and to experience the fullness of these extremes. When a baby is born, we are filled with joy. When an old one dies, we are filled with sorrow. When someone performs an act of good, we are able to love. When acts of evil occur, we are can experience hate. We even mix them up. When we go to war to preserve our good way of life, we cheer the hero killer and take joy in the death of our foe. Our games called sport and even our family games are based on the concept of overcoming or winning. We develop these so that we can defeat someone without ‘hurting’ them.

I know, we feel it would be wonderful if the world were filled with Love only. Well, the world is filled with Love only. There is only Love. We can find that Love when we look for it. It is everywhere. All we need do to find Love is to focus our attention on the Whole rather than the illusion.

A number of basic facts must remain forever in our awareness:

 1.      There is only Life – there is no death. We live forever.        Everyone lives forever. The only thing that ever changes is our perspective.

2.      As long as we are here, we are going to play the game of life on some level. It does not matter what level we play on – it only matters how we play.

3.      We cannot have expectations without having limitations.

 4.      We only judge ourselves – good and bad are subjective.

Fact number one has to be an understanding as well as a belief. And, it must remain in our awareness continually.

Fact number two must be something that we are constantly aware of. For us to believe that we can live our lives without someone else feeling ‘hurt’ because of our decisions is an illusion. We are going to take that job that someone else applied for. We may feed the hungry only to have them grow up and have children that will starve. We are going to pass by a hitch hiker, hang up on a telemarketer, drive too slowly or too fast for someone else and, sooner or later, we are going to kill a tree. We cannot tell what impact our decision is going to have on others. Whether our interactions cause others to grow or not, to feel good or not or to evaluate us as right or not is up to them. But the bottom line is: Life is forever and everyone grows.

How we play is what is important. We must play with Love from the Heart and we must play with Joy. What that means to you is up to you. What that means to me is up to me.

Fact number three is something that requires constant review. We must remain aware that we are creating our path through life with each and every decision we make. When we take a job or develop a relationship, our path may become a bit more solidified in our mind, but with those choices we have also eliminated other possibilities. We may see the loss of a job or a relationship as a ‘bad thing,’ but what it really creates is more opportunity. We cannot have expectations without having limitations. When we focus and decide, we automatically eliminate other possibilities. As long as we remain aware of this, we can prepare ourselves for continual change. And as long as we remain aware of this, we can welcome change. We can even freely choose to change.

Fact number four gives us the freedom to choose from the Heart and to act from the Heart. As long as we make every decision from the Heart and in the moment, we have no need to judge ourselves. We must not second guess ourselves by considering what is best for the future of another. We cannot know what is best for the future of another. Whatever we do or do not do is going to create potential and possibility. What another does with that potential and that possibility is up to them. The world is at peace only when we are at peace.

When we have these facts in place in our life we can see the World of Our Dreams. When we Walk in Peace, the world is at peace. If we believe that another has died, we have witnessed only an illusion within our mind. If we perceive the struggle of good against evil, we have only partaken of the waters of forgetfulness and we will soon recall.

It is only now that we can see the Actors in the play of life appear upon the stage to take their place, to laugh and cry, to drift from page to page in a drama that ever continues – and see them in Joy, Love and Balance.

Welcome conflict, the struggle between apparently opposing forces. These struggles do not detract from our reality. Conflict strengthens every aspect of our reality.

Avoid confrontation or the need to make ourselves right. Because conflict only strengthens, proof is not necessary. We need only prove ourselves to ourselves.

 Walk in Peace.
